Special Advisor and Ambassador
Carol Costello
Carol Costello serves as special advisor and ambassador and teaches a broadcast journalism course in LMU’s journalism program. She also hosts “I Hate Your Generation,” a podcast series exploring the generational divide.
Costello is an award-winning journalist and former anchor and correspondent at CNN and HLN. Her distinguished career as a local, regional, and national broadcaster spans three decades, covering a broad range of world leaders, events, and politics.
Carol's Impact
Carol cultivates partnerships with stakeholders, thought leaders, and influencers through her public appearances, service, outreach, and speeches, and supports university objectives through academic and faculty collaborations, fundraising, and community engagements. She also serves as a senior university representative and emissary to advance the university’s interests, mission, vision, and goals.
As part of her role, Carol continues to teach and mentor students in broadcast journalism. She is also collaborating closely with the provost and deans to develop innovative academic offerings that support our students and faculty.
