Our LMU community stands in solidarity with the families impacted by the hate-inspired violence in Charlottesville. Racism, Fascism, and Nazism have no place in our society. As Lions, we celebrate, honor, and cherish diversity, inclusivity, and justice rooted in the belief that we are all sacred children of God. We reject and oppose the acts and beliefs of the supremacists who rallied in Virginia. We must fight to ensure that dignity and respect prevail.

We continue to draw inspiration from Pope Francis’ words: "Through the darkness of today’s conflicts, each and every one of us can become a bright candle, a reminder that light will overcome darkness, and never the other way around."
